1932 Hupmobile Sedan

View Description

In 1911 Hupp became one of two automakers pioneering the use of all-steel bodies. Nelson approached Hale & Kilburn Company in Philadelphia looking for help with developing an all-metal body for the Hupp 32. Hale & Kilburn had pioneered the replacement of cast iron with pressed steel for many parts for the interiors of railway carriages. This little piece of history has been well maintained over the years and looks to be pretty much original. The steel body was repainted about 8 years ago. The yellow breaks up the black a bit, but keeps it all classy. The wire wheels have been painted yellow and match the stripe well. The big white border white wall tires...

1932 Essex Terraplane

View Description

Introduced in 32 the Essex-Terraplane was reconstructed from the ground up to bring back buyers to the Hudson Motor Company subsidiary. Hudson was in a bit of a slump after moving from the 3rd highest selling American motor company to 7th overall. This new construction was built on a shorter 106 inch wheelbase with a floorpan welded directly to the frame rails. Amelia Earhart was even asked to help introduce the first Essex-Terraplane. This beauty rolled into our showroom with 16,600 miles showing on the odometer. A stout 3. 2L V6 engine pushes this little hotrod down the street with an automatic transmission. The Tan and Green interior is in great shape with modified gauges. The green and black exterior of this little rocket are in great shape for its age as well! The original...
