1950 Ford Custom

View Description

Custom is a great word of choice concerning this stellar classic Ford. What you don't see at first view is exactly what makes this beauty so very special and stand out from other '50 Fords. A full nut and bolt restoration was recently performed with receipts totaling well in excess of two hundred thousand dollars. Some of the highlights include, a fuel injected GM Ram Jet 350 crate engine, 700R4 overdrive transmission, four wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion power steering, adjustable coil over shocks, and Vintage Air A/C. Inside the cabin you'll find Custom two tone leather seats and matching interior panels. The Custom creme color paint paired with a black power top and maroon piping is striking. Ford lovers pay attention! This is quite possibly the deal of the...

1950 Ford Convertible

View Description

This car was built by Doug Thompson in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1950 Ford had an emphasis on quality, improving from the previous year, subtle changes such as push button door handles to foam seat cushions to improve comfort, and 'non-sag' springs. Ford produced 50,299 Convertible coupes in 1950. The This 50' Ford has a late model 302 CID V8 and an automatic transmission to make it an ease to drive. It sports a 4 barrel carburetor and a recently replaced dual exhaust. Finished in a stunning 'Pearl Blue Marino' with a two tone effect added by using two different base coat colors, capping off the beautiful paint work are the ghost flames represented on the hood, trunk-lid, and side panels. The exterior also has enough chrome to make any post WWII car designer proud. The interior is all custom with white vinyl, blue accents and blue piping, and even air conditioning for those extra hot cruises. Options for this 1950 Ford Convertible include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Manual Convertible Top, GPS, Chrome Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Seats, Tilt Wheel, Keyless Entry, Wide White Wall Coker Radial Tires.

1950 Ford Custom

View Description

The 49 Ford was the first completely redesigned automobile to be introduced by the big three after the War. Many say this was the car that not only saved Ford but ushered in the modern design of the automobile. The integrated fenders were one of the biggest advances in automobile design. The other biggest advancement, which is now the standard, the X member ties in the two frame rails giving you a much more rigid chassis. This 1950 Ford Custom is a great example of what they would look like when they came out in 1950. This one has gone through a complete restoration back to its factory correct color and interior making it a very rare bird. The Convertible Top looks to be new, it is in working order. A piece of the convertible top linkage, on the driver-s side, will need to be replaced or repaired. Under the hood the flathead v8 looks great and sounds even better. Matched up to the classic 3 on...

1950 Ford Convertible

View Description

The Flathead engine was originally intended to be used for big passenger cars and trucks & it was installed in them (with minor, incremental changes) until 1953, making the Flathead engine's 21-year production run for the U. S. consumer market longer than the 19-year run of the Ford Model T! This engine was also on Ward's Automotive's list of the 10 top engines of the 20th century. It was a staple of hot rodders all across the U. S. in the 1950s, and it remains famous in the classic car hobbies even today, despite the huge variety of other popular V8s that followed. If your heads have the outlet in the front then lucky you because you most likely have an '8BA' flathead, which ran from 1948-1953, & these engines where the last series in the continental US to be made and...
