People still today love the lines and the relatively small size of these cars making them perfect candidates for some serious performance upgrades. This 65 is a great example of exactly that keeping the body lines and simply pumping up the performance aspect. The red paint is clean and shows very well with the white strip right above the rockers breaking up the red nicely. The scoop on the hood helps to give the car that aggressive look. The 289 is fed by the big Holley 4BBL carb and gets spark from the requisite MSD ignition. A big aluminum radiator with an electric fan help keep the mill in proper operating temps. Custom ceramic-coated headers feed into the dual side-pipes and provide for that great throaty sound that the early Cobras were famous for. A full set of Autometer Phantom gauges help the driver monitor critical operating functions. Fast is a complete understatement. With little to no weight and a potent V8 up front, this thing is a rocket, and this rocket has been very well kept and cared for over its life, having only covered 9603 miles since it was built in 2005, so it's broken in but not worn out.
