This beautiful piece of automotive art was a California car for most of it life. The current owner bought the Cougar in 2010 and got a little crazy with the build. A full rotisserie restoration was began, but the restoration was not intended to bring this Cougar back to factory original, but to make it something nicer, that any true Hot Rodder or Gear Head could appreciate. To insure this cat would be a better handling car than when new, a Total Cost Suspension was added. It consists of removing the shock towers and upgrading to a complete coil over suspension. Wilwood disc brakes have also been added to all four corners. This 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT is powered by its 390 FE CID V8 Engine and is backed by a C6 3-speed automatic transmission. The 390 V8 has been upgraded with Edelbrock aluminum heads, aluminum intake, a roller cam, full length ceramic headers with stainless steel exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. The ignition system has been upgraded with MSD components, so the 500 hp 390 FE gets all the sparks it needs.
