I call this a tribute because Ford never made one this nice not even when Carrol got his hands on one and had his way with it. So there once was a movie that was then remade in 2000 about a group of happy go lucky car thefts who were all good hearted of course as they were the focus of the movie. In this movie which I will not name, there was a car the star of the movie always had problems with as he was trying to steal them, the poor guy. This car had a lady's name, Ellen, Noreen something like that and it was a beast well, except when you place that car beside this monster. This 1967 Fastback Mustang has the same look as the star car but that is where it stops. Under the hood lurks a 427 cubic inch Roush Performance V8. Now, this is not just an ordinary fastback, this 1967 Mustang for sale was stripped down to the shell and then painstakingly put back together with mostly handmade body panels that include: Fiberglass front bumper, Fiberglass hood and Fiberglass front fenders. The rear quarter panel have been modified to include functioning side scoops that direct cool air to the rear brakes. The trunk lid that includes the rear spoiler has steel reinforcement build in for added strenght. Shelby taillights finish off the back end in style. One look at the front end shows all the hours and hours of hand fitting all the handmade fiberglass parts proves that someone has a lot more patience than I do, but the results are astounding! Once all the handmade parts were assembled for the final time Hot Hues candy apple FX was applied with love over and over again until just the right shade was achieved. Everybody knows the real star of the last Gone in 60 Seconds movie was the car. This Mustang pays tribute to the movie, the car is an excellent performer. Starting out with a relatively clean car, the Mustang was sent to Mustangs to Fear. This company specializes in 1965 to 1970 Mustangs. This Mustang has more than just an Eleanor body kit. Under the silver/black Dupont paint, this Eleanor rides on a full coil over suspension and has disc brakes at all four corners. Under the hood, things get real serious with a professionally built Dart 351W based engine. Total cubic displacement comes in at a whopping 428 inches! The engine was built by Performance Motorsports systems producing 520 hp and 560 lbs of torque. The engine is built to handle a little nitrous if desired, but as the engine builder told the owner, you won-t need it.
