1968 Mercury Cougar

When the Cougar was introduced in '67 it was based on the first generation Mustang but utilized all new sheet metal and a 3' longer wheelbase. Offered in a coupe only at first, the car featured a unique grill with covered headlights, and the rear featured large taillights that mimicked those from the thunderbird. The vehicle had a handsome look and made for a popular seller for Ford's Mercury branch. This particular 1968 model is in beautiful restored condition with a stock and original appearance. The Cougar body was bead blasted completely and professionally painted in a beautiful glossy white. It features a black vinyl top which looks great against the fresh paint. Under the hood you'll find a 302 CID V8 which was professionally rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago. The C6 automatic transmission was professionally rebuilt at the same time which makes for a wonderful drive train. The interior is new as well and brought by the same shop as the beautiful vinyl top.
