The Chevelle was remodeled a bit in the front and rear end for the 1971 model year with large single unit headlights with parking/signal lights next to the headlights and in the rear dual round taillights replaced the single rectangular lights. This Chevelle was originally equipped with a 454C. I. D V8 that has since been replaced with a ZZ454 engine rated at 440 horsepower sitting next to a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission. The restoration was done beautifully and was finished in late 2014 with less than 400 miles on it since completed. Starting with the boxed, media blasted & painted frame up to an all-new suspension using heavy duty springs & tubular A-Arms, this bad boy is for 'GO' as much as it is 'Show'. This is a no nonsense 1971 Chevelle. Power is supplied by a 2015 6. 2L LS3/6L80E 6-speed automatic combo that is out of a 2015 Chevy SS & was showing only 19k miles on it when it was swapped and is now right about 30k total miles. These LS3's were originally estimated at 415hp without any adds, but the addition of the ceramic coated headers, a custom fabbed 3' X-piped exhaust and a simple tune have increased that rating very nicely!
