The Continental Mark IV is a two-door personal luxury coupe that was sold and marketed by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company from the 1972 to 1976 model years. Following the success of the Continental Mark III, Lincoln renewed the model line to again compete against the Cadillac Eldorado. Sharing the underpinnings and much of the roofline with the redesigned Ford Thunderbird for 1972, the Mark IV was given distinct body styling from the windows down. In addition, the Mark was distinguished by hidden headlights and the Continental spare tire trunk lid. Essentially a one owner vehicle, the Mark IV has been in the same family since purchased new. In 1976 Chevy advertised the Camaro with the words -People who love to drive, drive Camaros-. It sits low, stands wide and moves like it really means it. This Camaro is quick, tight & tough. The exterior is in great condition with the paint showing very well and it has a high glossy finish with no dents or dings. The body panels are straight & true. The 76 Corvette underwent some minor changes that year making it a more rounded vehicle. The all fiberglass construction was updated with some parts being changed for metal to not only quit cab noise but help with rigidity. The changes would make the 76 modal a great car for daily use and the sales numbers would reflect that. This beautiful example has had an absolute ton of work performed to bring it to current state. The white paint is fresh and looks great showing off those classic C3 body lines. Under the hood is the original L48 350 that was overhauled about 25000 miles ago with the receipts included showing the work performed.
