In 1976 Pontiac celebrated its 50th Anniversary and chose two of its most popular models the Grand Prix and the Trans Am, to commemorate the event. The special edition Grand Prixs were manufactured from October 1 to December 12, 1975. Of the 228,091 Grand Prixs produced for the 1976 model year, this Grand Prix was 1 of 4,807 that were designated to the Golden 50th Anniversary edition.
This car is in great and original condition and has every option that was available in 1976. The air conditioning, electric clock and the am/fm stereo with 8-track player have been completely rebuilt and work like new. This car came from Pontiac as a Grand Prix SJ Hardtop Coupe, which came with two main features the Golden 50th Anniversary package and the LJ luxury appointment options package which included buckskin leather bucket seats, white padded landau top, interior lamp package, rally gauges and LJ identification badges.
