In 1977 the GM B body line up received a body re design to make the best use of the ever tightening EPA requirements for fuel consumption. Even though the stricter laws tightened down the overall dimensions of large size cars, GM paved the way in interior comfort by increasing headroom and rear seat legroom providing a level of luxury that wouldn-t be found in its competition for a few years down the road.
