Conceived to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Ford Motor Company, the Diamond Jubilee Mark V was an $8,000 upgrade over the standard Continental Mark V. Practically every conceivable factory option was fitted in this limited-edition motorcar, and it's finished in Jubilee Gold: one of only 2,557 produced. This 78 Continental Mark V 'Diamond Jubilee' Edition is a great survivor quality car with all features reported to be in working order except for the AC needing a recharge. Standard equipment includes color keyed moldings, vertical grill bars, bumper guards, landau top, Turbine wheels, hood ornament, and padded vinyl deck lid. Inside was more of the same with Diamond Jubilee call outs and badges in the dash and opera windows, plus a matching umbrella in the armrest. Other Jubilee distinctions included padded leather in high wear areas of the interior, as well as ebony wood inserts on the instrument panel, door trim panels, front seat backs, and console. The backs of the front seats also featured assist straps and map pockets. The carpeting on the floor was a sumptuous 36 oz. Tiffany cut pile.
