This one is a 3/4 ton , 7 window, series 1 with the stake bed. its believed to be Era correct engine (1956 235 C. I. ) and 4 speed transmission (believed to be original) with Granny Gear. The Brakes are Hydrovac. The electrical has been converted to 12 Volt. The wiring has all been newly upgraded. The wood in the bed is Furniture grade Oak in great condition. The Tires are Michelin Radials and have less than 2000 miles on them, and the Spare is also new. The interior is super nice. The restoration: Glass ,rubber, exterior, interior was done a while ago and believed over $50K was spent (not sure how long ago) The current owner does not know how many previous owners, but it does have a clean Colorado Title.

This truck is a complete nut and bolt, frame off restoration that was started in 2017 and finished in 2019 for the Idaho Rescue Mission- 'Project for Veterans'. The truck only has about 200 miles since being finished last year and it is show ready. Powering this beautiful pickup is a new 283 CID V8 engine that is mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The engine is dressed up with dual headers, Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Chevrolet valve covers and air cleaner, and the classic orange GM block. No expense was spared while rebuilding this truck, the frame and other parts were all powder coated by All American Powder Coating and stainless steel was also used. When walking around this '55 you instantly notice the sharp two toned Green and Z-tone White paint theme that is topped off with black pin striping. The paint is GM code 591-593 and is matched to the interior as well. Notable exterior features would have to include the chrome dual exhaust system, 16' steel wheels with hub cabs, and the oak wooden bed with black dividers. This is not a repainted truck with an engine swap, this truck has been fully disassembled, re-plated, refinished, and rebuilt to make this truck better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line. The idea for this truck originally was to set up the truck to pull a 1955 Airstream trailer, and it has been engineered to do so with ease. It could easily be used for similar purposes like towing a vintage boat, hauling a vintage race car, or even driven as a mobile billboard. In 1955, the 2nd series was offered as a 7' or 9' bed; however, this 1955 body sits on a 1971 Chevrolet C20 frame assembly. 1971 was the first year that Chevrolet offered front wheel disc brakes on its pickups. The C20 would have had an 8' bed, so this is truly a unique build in the most literal sense - 1 of 1.
