We're all here for muscle cars and we all remember the Javelins! They don't come around here often, and never stay long. They are fantastic looking cars and this one has some fun history to go along with it. The engine and transmission are not original (out of a 1974. ) The engine is a 360 V8 rebuilt in 2007, and the 3-speed automatic 727 transmission rebuilt in 2008 and both function fantastically. This beautiful AMC Javelin is part of the 2nd generation which ran from 1971-1974. You might ask yourself why get an AMC to add to my collection when I could have a Mustang or Camaro? Those cars were produced in significant numbers with scads of survivors. The Javelin, on the other hand, never generated much sales volume, of which the Cardin cars were just a fraction. Among collectible makes, AMC is a sleeper at best, and values have nowhere to go but up. We don't get Javelins or AMX's in very often, and good ones are getting harder to find! This sharp AMC started life as a 290-2 barrel Javelin with column shift automatic, before being morphed a few years back into the tough-looking (and sounding) Machine you see here. The owner indicates only 2424 miles have been logged on the upgraded, rebuilt 401 V8 now under the hood.
