The Superlite SL-C was designed and engineered by a small group of engineers, designers and craftsmen. It never passed through a committee, and they didn't make any Powerpoints while it was in the process of creation. That's because they only needed to answer to their own vision of what the perfect Supercar would be, and that is why the Superlite SL-C is so pure in line. And so technologically advanced.

This 2013 Superlite SL-C is not just another 'me too' car based on old-design tube-chassis and riveted aluminum panels that was ancient even at the end of the last century. They didn't want a body that looked swoopy but was hard to see out of, or was too difficult and expensive for an average builder to build because of poor fitting panels and lousy surfaces. The Superlite SL-C had to be a clean-sheet, modern car that was infused with state-of-the-art technology that helps make the car easier to build- and better to drive. For example, the doors fit right out of the mold, and don't need weeks of trimming and fettling to attach properly to the body. The kit is from a company called Fiberfab International, Inc out of Boca Raton Florida. This is a pre 1983 kit meaning it was made before the company was bought out by the competing kit car manufacturer Classic Motor Carriages. When the current owner bought the car there were some cracks in the fiberglass, and him being a 'picky' guy, he had to have the body repaired and completely resprayed in PPG Canary Yellow just 5 short years ago! Luxuries that help to make this a great cruiser are power brakes, power steering, posi-traction, tilt column, power actuated trunk, A/C by Vintage Air, seat belts, two tone saddle leather seating (4 years old), radial tires and American Racing wheels. The Nereia body was made from molds for the Cimbria II which is less likely to stress cracking, and custom work was done on almost every panel on the car. The passenger compartment was widened to accommodate its 70's era Pantera suspension. The trunk area, rear wheel wells, side air ducts and bulkhead were all hand made, and the entire dash and transmission tunnel were custom made by Rice Fabrications. This car was built on a custom space-frame tubular chassis with 4-wheel independent suspension with Heidlt Mustang II front end and a modified Pantera set up in the rear utilizing adjustable Aldan coil over shocks. The brakes are Wilwood circle track rotors and 4-piston calipers. Under the rear hood lays a 350CID V-8 with an Isky cam, upgraded valves and a ported intake that was built and balanced by Dennis Faerman of Faerman Racing Engines (It was stated by the owner & builder that the hydraulic dyno testing showed in excess of 400hp, however no documentation was available at time of listing).
