The 1974 Trans Am is the last of the early second-generation Firebirds. In 1975, the wrap-around rear window would debut, but there are many who still feel that the '74s are the best-looking of the bunch. With a 455 under the hood and mated to a 4-speed gearbox such as in this appealing Buccaneer Red example, the Trans Am was still a force to be reckoned with.

By 1974, the horsepower wars were pretty much over, but Pontiac was still cranking out some of the fastest cars on the road. Buccaneer Red was one of only three Trans Am colors available in 1974, and code 75 Buccaneer Red is indeed this car's original color.
