The Chevy C10 might just be the most recognizable pickup ever made. This beautifully restored '64 is a fleet side Shortbed. The truck was fully restored in the early 2000s which included the engine being rebuilt and the truck being repainted in its original light green color. The engine is a 283 CID V8 which runs strong. The V8 is backed by a rare automatic transmission which makes for an easy driving experience. There were different offerings in truck style from Chevrolet in 1970. The Longbed was your everyday run of the mill 8 foot bed which was mainly bought by construction workers since you could throw a sheet of plywood in the bed, shut the tailgate, and roll on down the road which was great for getting the job done and sold very well. Then you had the Stepside which was a 6 ft bed with the wheel wells curved to the outside of the bed giving it a little indentation as many would come to use as step hence the name. Stepside Chevys are some of the most collectible trucks out there. This one has been beautifully restored and will impress even the most seasoned car guy. The base coat clear coat paint in red is new as of 2013. The body is laser straight and all steel of course. This one has a beautiful wood bed with chrome strips in between. It has an amazing clear coat over it which give it a high gloss show ready finish. Under the hood is a strong running crate 350 CID V8 which mates up well with the TH350 automatic transmission and highway gears. These trucks just seem to becoming more popular everyday and this one being a Cheyenne with a Shortbed is the cream of the crop. The ground up restoration has just 60 miles since it was completed. It features the original 4 bolt main 350 that's been rebuilt. During the rebuild the block was bored. 030 and stroked to 383, fitted with forged aluminum pistons replacing the heavy cast iron, a Crane Thumper cam for a great sound and added power, Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor with an electric choke, new long tube headers to let breath better, single chamber mufflers for a menacing sound, a new radiator and water pump to keep her running cool and of course all new hoses and belts. The list goes on. Inside you'll be keeping cool with a new A/C unit. Receiving the power form the built 350 is a TH400 automatic transmission.
