Cadillac has always been known for leading the way in the American made luxury car market and has done so since its beginning in 1902. Going through somewhat of a slump in the late '90s a brand overhaul was ordered by parent company GM. Feeling that Cadillac had become a car that could only be found in retirement community's they gave all Cadillac's a serious facelift. The XLR was more than a facelift it was a whole new line of the car. The idea and even the execution of a 2-door convertible were not new to Cadillac. They had built them in the past, but a convertible hardtop, that was actually built by Mercedes to be used on top of a C6 Chassis, that was unheard of. The new body would be more aggressive and cutting edge than anything Cadillac had done before. This XLR is a great example of those early runs and with only 15000 being built over an 8-year span there is no reason why these should not begin to start gaining value. This one has been very well maintained and it shows. The Silver paint is slick and looks great with no noticeable dings or dents. The...
