Based on the legendary Gen 1 Camaro platform, this car bears a great deal of resemblance to what it left the manufacturing line as, cosmetically; but below the skin is one brawling beast. Given an extra-deep bath of a deliberately-unobtrusive shade of metallic blue paint in 2009, this Camaro almost has 'sleeper' written on it. The clean lines of the '68 Camaro remain, and all of its panels are original; but the 3' custom cowl hood might clue a casual onlooker to the fact that it's 'not so stock' under there. The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheetmetal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy 'V' cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look.
