The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is an automobile which was produced by Rolls-Royce Limited from April 1955 to March 1966. It was the core model of the Rolls-Royce range during that period. The Silver Cloud replaced the Silver Dawn and was, in turn, replaced by the Silver Shadow. The Silver Cloud III arrived in 1963. Due to the original 6. 2 L Rolls-Royce 220 hp V8 being mated to a GM Hydramatic transmission, when the time came to replace the less than reliable powerplant, the decision was made easy. This particular Silver Cloud III now sports a Chevrolet 350 CID. The professional restoration was performed in Florida. The two tone Maroon & Silver paint scheme looks great and appears fresh. On the inside, the leather and wood trim is in excellent condition. The gauges and power widows function properly, which is not always the case in these early Rolls.
