The CJ-3A was part of the Universal CJ series, a model intended for agricultural and industrial applications in the civilian market, an area in which Willys-Overland felt it would be a good fit, as the CJ employed the same 'utilitarian' features that gave the MB model great success in WWII. Willys-Overland realized the value of driver comfort, even in a 'work' vehicle such as the CJ and blessed the CJ-3A with an increase in legroom, a 'leak proof' canvas roof feature, better seats, a higher windshield, and a vacuum operated windshield wiper. There was also an attempt to refine the suspension for a more comfortable ride.
This little CJ pays tribute to its warfighter heritage with a military spec, olive drab re-spray, and US Army call outs painted along the hood. It's equipped with a shovel, axe, and roll bar.
