The Shoebox has been to several local/national shows and cruise-ins to make all others envious. This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is powered by a 221 350 Chevrolet small block built V8 engine, backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission, and running to a 12 bolt Posi rear end with 3. 73 gears. A B&M air shifter controls the 700R4 to insure the shifts are crisp and firm. The car is a frame off restoration with all kinds of goodies added. A high roller cam takes care of getting plenty of fuel and air into the engine to make 425 horsepower. Getting the spent fumes out of the engine is taken care by a set of Holley ceramic coated header that dump into dual 2 1/2 inch Flowmaster exhaust system.
