From 1960, when Chevrolet and GMC brought the C/K series to the table, until 2000 this full-size truck line was a force to be reckon with as it has proven to be the be one of the best selling truck brands. The 'C' indicated two-wheel drive and 'K' indicated four-wheel drive. The second generation, which this remarkable example is from, was in production from 1967 until 1972 are the more desired models known as the -Action Line-. It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. The front suspension on all Chevrolet trucks were independent front suspension with coil springs. Several changes occurred in 1971. First came another new grille design (the 'egg crate') for Chevrolet trucks and black paint over portions of the GMC grille. 1971 was the first year for AM/FM radios factory installed.
