This particular Chevelle is what we like to call a nice driver. The red paint is in good shape but does show wear from being a driver. The Black vinyl top is in very shape and with care will last for years to come. The black stock interior is in good condition. The carpet does show some wear, but is still has a lot of life left in it. Something you don-t normally see in this year Chevelle is a tilt steering wheel. The Chevelle is arguably the most sought after of all muscle cars. Beginning production in 1964 it was very similar in size and concept to the ever popular 55-57 Chevy-s. Much like those cars the Chevelle has a cult like following today with the first generations being the most sought after. This 65 is a great example of using one of these A body-s as a platform to build a cool classic street Machine. Probably the first thing to catch your attention is the gold metallic paint; it really pops when out in the sunlight. Finishing the classic look is a set of chrome Cragar SS wheels. Pop the hood and this is where the real fun begins. The 355 CID engine was never offered in a -65 Chevelle making this a custom build. The Holley carb sitting on top of the high flow intake keeps this healthy cammed up V8 fed. Naturally you are going to have quite a bit of spent gasses coming out so the dual exhaust to take care of that perfectly. The Chevrolet Chevelle is widely regarded as the symbol of American muscle, and this 1968 Chevelle SS Tribute is one to behold. With its 383 CID V8, built with a mild cam, you'll feel the power, and won't much care if the VIN says it's an original SS or not. The 383 power plant is hooked to a 400 turbo 3 speed automatic a transmission that was built with a shift kit to give you the hard shifting drag car feel that these muscle cars are all about. Popping the hood increases the wow factor as the 383 SBC has been tastefully dressed up with chrome valve covers, chrome air breather, aftermarket pulleys and brackets. A Holley double pumper carburetor insures this 383 gets plenty of fuel. Getting the exhaust gases out of the engine are a set of long tube headers. They are covered in heat wrap to reduce heat in the engine compartment and add t the overall look. This car isn't all GO it's pretty easy to look at too!
