Michael Jackson releases Thriller Album, the first CD player sold in Japan and General Motors was ending production of the C3 Corvette whose body dated back to 1968, but whose basic chassis design went back to the C2 of 1963! The Bowling Plant closed in October of 1982 to begin re-tooling for the new 1984 C4 Corvette. Right away you notice that this is no ordinary C3 Corvette. This C3 has been modified to represent the legendary Grand Sport corvettes from the 60s. Several body additions and modifications have been made to pull of this sweet look. High rise hood, side pipe exhaust, and bubble rear tail lights are just some of the additions to the car. There are some custom pieces that deserve attention as well. The rear quarter panels have been flared, widened, and louvered and the rear bumper has air relief holes cut in it.
