This is a third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, which was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. C3 coupes featured the first use of T-top removable roof panels. 1981 was the final year this vehicle was built in Saint Louis.
The first thing you may think of when you see this classic from Chevrolet is a very unpopular song called 'Little Red Corvette' by a marginally talented musician who sometimes went by the name of 'Prince', but at other times went by a symbol and had a fascination of what happens when you marry the colors red and blue together.
