This beautiful Z06 is painted in black and is nicely complimented by a set of aftermarket C6 Z06 black wheels with a thin red pin stripe. The black and red two-tone leather interior also work perfectly with the exterior. Powering this high-performance Machine is an all-aluminum 5. 7 liter V8 that goes by the name, LS6. Many will recall the LS-6 from the muscle car era that powered Chevelles and Corvettes. These were some of the most powerful engines offered in 1970-1971. GM had to make sure that the new LS6 would live up to its reputation. In doing so GM gave the new LS6 a high lift camshaft and a redline that goes up to 6,500 rpm vs. the 6,000 rpm redline for the standard Corvette. The 2002 Z06 vs. the 2001 and older Z06 had thinner windshields to save weight, the intake and exhaust valves were redesigned for weight saving measures by actually hollowing them out and filling them with liquid alloy, the camshaft had added lift and was the highest lift ever for a production Chevrolet small block. With these upgrades, the 2002 Corvette Z06 produced an additional 20 horsepower and 15 additional lbs. /ft. of torque. This...
