The Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe models were only produced in 1986 and 1987 with a total of only 6,052 released in 1987. That's only 8% of the total Monte Carlo production for that year. This Beautiful Monte Carlo is in nice condition throughout. It had a dual stage midnight blue repaint a few years ago and a new black vinyl top installed. The blue & black cloth and vinyl interior looks very good. The 350 4-bbl engine and automatic transmission was rebuilt and has 400 miles on it. The engine has some nice upgrades as well. While the Aerocoupe was mechanically identical to the standard Monte Carlo SS, the sloping rear window inspired by NASCARs for '86 and '87 model years provided improved aerodynamics and therefore a few extra mph at speed. To accommodate the 25-degree slope of the rear glass, a smaller trunk lid was used. A little over 6,000 Aerocoupes were sold during the short production run and you can be sure that there aren't too many left with just 5,174 miles showing on the odometer either!
