The Mach 1 was available on the Sports Roof Mustang in 1973 and the body style along with the Mach 1 moniker and flat black hood stripe is a favorite amongst collectors and muscle car enthusiasts. Originally equipped with a 302 V8 this car has been pepped up with a 429 that has that unmistakable big block growl. With only 7,000 miles on the engine and much less on a full transmission overhaul this car is ready to hit the open road. The interior appears to be original and well preserved and the mileage of 93,325 could be the original. You may be seeing a lot of Mach1S out on the road but one with a fresh 429 is truly what sets this car apart.

The -73 Mustangs were never particularly high-performers in factory trim, as they had gained quite a bit of weight since their inception almost a decade prior. Advertisements at the time touted future collectability so many of these became prized and adored by their loving caretakers and this one is no exception.
