1970 Plymouth Satellite

The Satellite was introduced in 1965 and was the top trim model in the Belvidere line. It-s hard to imagine that this vehicle was actually considered to be a mid-sized car of the time. By 1970 the American public was fashion-forward with bright colors, platform shoes and bell bottoms of course. The style of automobiles was just as modern and somewhat flamboyant. The name Satellite even takes you back in time and evokes that era of the space landing. Madison Avenue was also in full swing and created advertisements for the 1970 Plymouth line that looked more like an advertisement for a concert than a car.
The second generation Satellite line was also the base for the Roadrunner and had very nice tidy lines and strong edged roof line that was unlike anything else the -Big 3- had to offer.
