The Ford Mustang was thrown onto us in the spring of 1964 and was instantly America's car. People, young and old, men and women, rich and poor everyone loved the pony car. They loved it show much that Ford has continuously produced the car for over 50 years now. It went through a rough patch that most enthusiasts do not like to mention but in 1979 that would all change. The Mustang would release the first rendition of its 'Fox body' Mustang. These early runs were off the Fox platform which was initially developed for the Fairmont, a much bigger car.
