Ford completely redesigned its namesake car for the year 1949, and the 1949 Ford Custom is credited both with saving Ford and ushering in a Modern Streamlined Car Design.
This Beautiful 'Shoebox' Ford is Straight and Super Solid, it had a Body Off Restoration back in 2010 and has only been driven occasionally since and still shows in Excellent Condition. The Original Flathead Ford 239 V8 Engine was Completely Rebuilt last October and has a little over 200 miles on it since. Edelbrock Aluminum Cylinder Heads, an Offenhauser Aluminum Intake Manifold, a Holley 4bbl Carburetor, Red's Custom Headers and Smitty Mufflers were added, and the Engine was Dressed Up. The Engine Runs Excellent and Sounds Great! The 3-on-the-Tree Manual Transmission shifts Smoothly, and the Overdrive works Perfectly. The Dark Blue Metallic Paint is in Excellent Shape with lots of Shine and Luster and very few blemishes, The Body is Solid and in Excellent Condition as well, the Interior is in Outstanding Condition and was done over in Period Correct Materials, Seat Belts and Gauges were added as well as a AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX Bluetooth Radio installed in the Glove Box for you to enjoy listening to your favorite music on the way to...
