1964 MG MGB

View Description

With only 1,600 miles on a freshly rebuilt drivetrain and a stack of receipts detailing the rebuild and restoration, this 1964 MGB is one of the nicest examples left! The stock 1. 8L inline 4-cylinder and 4-speed manual transmission have been professionally rebuilt and fires right up. The stock 91 horsepower in this car was enough to get this little British roadster up to a top speed of 103mph and handles exceptionally well! Something else very unique to this car is that 3rd gear as well as 4th gear have an overdrive option that will help keep your rpm's lower no matter what speed. The recently reupholstered black interior looks great and will keep you comfortable on the longer drives. The black interior compliments the stunning red exterior well and will turn heads where ever it goes. As you slide in, fire it up and start to cruise you will be amazed at how capable this car feels. The low stance and light weight allow it to dart around easily...

This is the last year for the MGB. In 1962, the British sports car company MG decided that after 12 years of manufacturing the MGA that it was time to redesign their two seater roadster and that they did! The dramatic styling difference came in the form of the MGB. These newly styled roadsters were a huge step into the future and sold very well. This 1980 MGB was the 18th and very last year of production, not only for the MGB, but for the company as a whole.
