Over its original 13-year production run, the Dart earned a good reputation. The Dart was one of the most successful compact cars ever introduced in the American automobile marketplace. It enjoys a strong owner loyalty and is a car that has established a reputation for reliability and value. These little Darts also had a reputation for being fast when properly equipped. This Mopar Orange example has been properly equipped for speed. This Dart could almost be considered a sleeper, but the intimidating hood scoop and big/little Weld Racing Drag Lites give it away that this is just not another reliable or cost-effective Dart. As soon as the key is turned and the engine rumbles to life, you suddenly realize this Dart means business. Under the hood of this bright orange Dart is a built up 360 CID V8 engine. The engine has been bored. 030 for a little extra displacement and to insure the rings are sealing for compression of the pistons.
