Power for this venomous 1500 comes from the Dodge Viper in V10 form. Stock, these trucks were not to mess with because they're equipped with 500 horsepower. However, this one is not stock. The heads were pulled, a thinner head gasket installed for a small bump in compression, new MOPAR slow bleed lifters, new pushrods, valve springs, new camshaft, Screamin Demon coils, wires, and an ARP head stud kit. If that isn't enough, there's also a 150 shot of nitrous oxide ready to make this into a 600+ horsepower animal, or should I say reptile. Crew cab form allows you to take a few more passengers that are brave enough to ride in this overpowered Super truck. Shifting is smooth and precise in automatic form. The transmission has also been tweaked with some go fast goodies. A 3,000 stall converter, triple disc billet torque converter with billet solenoids. There's also a one-piece aluminum driveshaft to help reduce drivetrain weight that sends power back to a Dana Super 70 with 4. 56 gears, Cal Tracs traction system, headers with 3-inch stainless exhaust and 3-inch catless mid pipe all into a Magna Flow muffler. Due to the lack of...

If you fondly remember the muscle car war of the sixties then you know what I mean as we the consumers are the only ones that win! OK, imagine the conference room where this idea was pitched. - So, what we need to do is design a sleek two seater that cheats the wind with a very low drag coefficient , make long and low so it handles like a dream and , oh yeah, design and build an 8. 0 liter V 10 engine that pumps out about 450 horsepower-. I-ll bet the design team high fived when they got the green light! They probably had red hands for days. This 1997 Dodge Viper for sale has less than 35,000 miles on it and it is easy to see that it has been lovingly taken care of. There is something visceral about twisting the key in this car as you know you are about to wake the beast. Once the engine roars to life you instantly feel 20 years old again and all you want to do is drive it, does not matter where you are going in fact you don-t need a destination just drive. So this concept car...

Testing of the first prototype began in January of 1989 for the Viper and the rest was history. The first generation Viper ranges from 1992-1995. The centerpiece of the car was its engine. The Lamborghini Company, then owned by Chrysler Corporation, designed the V10 for the Viper by recasting the block and heads in an aluminum alloy, and was based off Chrysler's V8 engine. A major contributor to the Viper since the beginning was Dick Winkles, the chief power engineer, who had spent a lot of time in Italy. Some specs to note: 0-60 time of 4. 5 secs, 0-100 at 9. 2 seconds, and a quarter mile drag time of 12. 9 seconds. This Viper was last purchased at Roanoake Motors, the top Viper dealership in the country. The Mopar, while aging, has received white glove treatment. The TA has been in climate control storage, all belts and hoses were replaced for preventative maintence, never driven in the rain, and new Michelin Pilot tires wrap around 2009 Viper GTS chrome wheels. Enhancing the sound of...

The first prototype was tested in January 1989. It debuted in 1991 with two pre-production models as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500. The Snake went on sale in January 1992 as the RT/10 Roadster. The centerpiece of the car was its engine. The Lamborghini Company, then owned by Chrysler Corporation, designed the V10 for the Viper by recasting the block and heads in an aluminum alloy, and was based on the Chrysler LA V8 engine. The engine weighs 711 lbs and produces 400 bhp at 4600 rpm and 465 lbft at 3600 rpm, and thanks to the long-gearing allowed by the engine the car has some fuel economy. The body is a tubular steel frame with resin transfer molding (RTM) fiberglass panels. The Viper lacks modern driver aids such as traction control and anti-lock brakes on purpose to give you the feel in the seat of your pants. It completes a quarter mile in 12. 6 seconds and has a maximum speed of over 150 mph. Its large tires allow the car to average close to one lateral g in corners, placing it among the elite cars of its day. The car is made for driving and features inflatable...
