The Chieftain was one of the first cars from Pontiac to receive a post-war refresh, as everything in their line up before 1949 was based on 1942 model year cars. A victorious America is certainly evident in this car where a new middle class was emerging, and more consumers were becoming automobile owners for the first time. This Chieftain has been repainted since new but comes in its factory 'Palmetto Green' color.
