This blindingly HOT, beautifully restored and hot very tastefully Fairlane is an example of the fifth generation of this Ford model. The Fairlane was revised in 1966. The appearance was changed to match the full-sized Ford, which had been restyled in the 1965 model year. The front-end featured vertically stacked dual headlights. This GT featured a 390 CI V8 as standard equipment, but as you walk towards this not so subtle yellow beast, you notice some serious enhancements, like the 428 Cobra Jet emblems on the flared hood scoop and the side exit exhaust pipes just ahead of the wide section rear tires which shroud gorgeous period correct alloy wheels. Come around to the driver side and open the door and you will notice a fine example of a civilized beast as your gaze rests upon the Sport Comp RPM gauge with Shift light hugging the steering column behind a beautifully preserved original Fairlane wood rimmed steering wheel, while further in the interior lies an all business Hurst shift handle and reverse lockout lever, which will allow you to control a...
