Introduced in September of 1970 was the whole new 1971 Mustang which was approved by Fords new president. The new generation of Mustang offered three body styles including hardtop, sportsroof and convertible while revising the width 3 extra inches to fit the massive 429 c. i. d V8 without needing an extensive suspension redesign. The new 1971 hardtop featured a prominent 'tunnelback' rear window design with flowing rear pillars, a completion of the styling exercise of the outgoing model. Hardtops with 'Grande' trim gained a vinyl roof and Grande badges on the C-pillars. This dominant Mustang Grande is nothing less than exquisite sporting a Lamborghini Green coat of paint with a black cloth and vinyl interior.
