1971 Ford Mustang
View Description
The 1971 Mustang was introduced in September of 1970, and was offered in three body styles including hardtop, sportsroof, and convertible; all of which had an additional 3 extra inches added to their width vs. their predecessors. This was done partially to enable Ford's massive 429 CID V8 to fit, without needing an extensive suspension redesign. The new 1971 hardtop featured a prominent 'tunnelback' rear window design with flowing rear pillars, a completion of the styling exercise that began with the outgoing model.
This 1971 Ford Mustang is powered by its original 351 CID Windsor V8, backed by its original C6 3-speed automatic transmission, which spins a set of highway gears out back. Options on this gorgeous red Mustang include: Air Conditioning, Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior.
