This Outlaw Body sits atop a Pete & Jake frame with all seams filled and painted the same color for a high quality look. Powered by a 454 CID V8 with crank and roller cam and lifters, all the seams have been sanded and painted Chevy red orange for a sharp look under the hood. The engine also features Moon eye valve covers with 4 low ride air breathers, Edelbrock intake manifold with 2 chrome 600cfm carburetors. The glimmer from the chrome a/c compressor and chrome alternator catches the eyes well as do the braided lines and MSD ignition and wires. When stepping back and viewing the entire car you-ll notice the Halibrand wheels 15x5 front and 15x10 rear finished in bright chrome. Custom made Sanderson Headers with fresh ceramic coating have a subtle appearance but scream for attention once the engine fires. The suspension is composed of all chrome linkage, chrome axle, chrome calipers, stainless rotors for an eye catching stance and a Vega steering box for fun handling. The Downs Manufacturing body has been chopped 4' and has a bobbed rear end. They also made the chassis she rides on, with a Ford 9' posi-traction rear end that's been narrowed, with 3. 5:1 gears. The rear suspension has Pro-Shock coil overs, TCI independent/ Aldan coil overs, '88 Charger power rack & pinion, with Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. BACKGROUND: Ford produced three cars between 1932 and 1934: the Model B, Model 18 & Model 40. The 1934 Ford was not as substantial a model year change as the previous two years had been, but was made infamous after the Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow fame. The two 'outlaws' were traveling in a stolen 1934 Ford sedan in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, when a heavily armed law enforcement posse opened fire and riddled their car with bullets and buckshot, killing both and bringing an end to the infamous gang. Perhaps if Bonnie and Clyde had a 1934 Ford like this one with a humming 350 CI out of a 1970 Corvette and a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette independent rear suspension, they could have made a quick turn around and get away.
