Powering this time capsule is claimed to be the 93 year old Inline 4 cylinder engine that is mated to a 2 speed manual transmission. Its transmission was a planetary gear type billed as 'three speed'. In today's terms it would be considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds is reverse. The Model T's transmission was controlled with three floor-mounted pedals and a lever mounted to the left side of the driver's seat.
