In 1937, Ford introduced the Deluxe Club Coupe. There were approximately 17,000 made, it featured a rear seat and was listed as a four passenger vehicle. It sold for $720. Finding an all steel period correct 1937 Ford Club Coupe is a rare find these days. Most of these beauties have been converted into beastly Hot Rods or met their demise many decades ago. Better yet, the current owner won this car from a raffle drawing he had entered. The local Kosair Shriner chapter was giving -37 Ford Club Coupe away as part fund raising efforts. Each year the local chapter of this organization has a vehicle restored to give away. Typically they are more along the lines of a custom street rod, but this time they went with something more original. This Roadster has been custom built from the ground up. The body is a Kilbourne Rod Shop fiberglass body with Hoosier steel hood and sides. The hood opens and closes with a Dan Fink hinge mechanism. The body has been finished in PPG black paint. It has a deep shine which is brought out even more with the red pin striping accents. One bold touch is the bright red grill in front that sets it apart from other '32s. It looks great sitting between 10' 1932 Ford headlights. The body sits atop American Stamping frame rails.
