1938 brought a slight restyle of the Pickup, the first since 1935. The recession was hitting harder on the U. S. A. which hurt production numbers, making this a rare surviving car. This Ford is believed to have the original 221 CID Ford Flathead V8 engine which would have produced a rated 85 horsepower. The 3 gears are selected manually through a column shift and power is directed to the rear wheels. The truck has been used in many parades by the current owner and has had some upgrades installed. Specifically, strobe lights mounted in the front grille and, more importantly, the mechanical fan was upgraded to an electrical fan to avoid overheating while driving at slow speeds.

The year 1957 Ford Fairlane was in its second generation and Ford must have hit the mark because it was the first time since 1935 that they outsold Chevrolet. The Fairlane Club Sedan was one of the nicest looking Fords out of the 20+ models available that year and this one really stands out! A T-Bucket (or Bucket T) is a hot rod, based on a Ford Model T of the 1915 to 1927 era, but extensively modified.
