1950 Ford Custom

A few years after WWII ended Ford was looking to bring a new car to the top trim level in their lineup. The Custom name would live on for a long time but the Custom Deluxe specifically was only made from 1949-1951. Here we have a '50 model Custom Deluxe Club Coupe. The Sheridan Blue paint looks good and the chrome is nice and bright. The Blue gray stripe cloth interior looks great and complements the exterior tones. Under the hood is a Flathead 8-cylinder engine backed to a 3-speed manual transmission on the column that we know as '3-on-the-tree. ' The exhaust note from that Flathead sounds very good and healthy. It runs and drives and shifts out very well. This car has been subjected to multiple restorations at different levels. The history of its restoration is documented in detail on a 7-page report with notes going back to the 80s. The biggest restoration appears to have occurred in 1989 when it was repainted, engine rebuilt, and much more. Current owner has had her for over 10 years, acquired from Gateway Louisville.
