The car was completely dismantled; right down to the bare body shell with fenders off, glass removed, etc. , and all parts from inside to outside were either completely stripped and refinished or replaced with new parts. Photos of the restoration process and receipts are available from the owner. The entire body shell was painstakingly stripped, cleaned, and seam-filled and refinished inside and out while it was on a rotisserie. It was painted while disassembled and carefully reassembled so as to show proper door, hood and trunk deck gaps. This Mach I has been painted back to the original Medium Red, Ford #2008, and it was wet sanded to give a nice slick finish. All of the suspension parts were stripped and refinished or replaced with new. All the bright-work was buffed and polished or replaced with brand new parts. Finished in stunning red with wide white wall tires at first glance this may look like a standard '33, but look closer and you'll see nearly every part has been customized. The body is a all steel and was 1 of under 2,000 Sedan Deliverys made in '33. The paint is Ferrari Testarossa Red and has been beautifully applied. You'll notice the advertisement for 'Mortland's Auto Body' on the side, and that's the shop that took care of the paint for this '33. The lettering is real gold leaf and may contain a small fortune right there on the side of the truck. The front windshield is functional and tilts out for nice ventilation. In addition, all glass is amber tinted safety glass. The rear mounted exterior trunk is a nice classic touch, but if it is not your style, the trunk and bracket can be easily removed. The chrome wire wheels are a great look especially with the new set of Coker Classic wide white wall tires. The beating heart of this '33 is a 1970 LT-1 350 CID V8 which is rated at 370 BHP.
