Considered Lee Iacocca's dream car for the masses. Not since the Model-T has Ford seen such a successful model, selling over one million cars within two years. The first Mustang came off the assembly line in late 1964 and is still manufactured today. Officially the first Mustangs were titled as 1965 models. To date, well over 10 million Ford Mustangs have been sold. At an initial selling point of $2,368 became affordable to almost anyone who wanted to buy a car. The Mustang became known as an affordable sport coupe with room for four.
Our 1966 Ford is an eye appealing example of the Mustang legacy. The matching spoked white road wheels give this Mustang a masculine appearance. Under the hood is a highly detailed 289 C code V-8 attached to a C4 automatic transmission with a nine-inch rear differential.
