Celebrating the glory days of hot rodding is this 1923 Ford T-Bucket. The term -Hot Rod- became commonplace in the 1930s or 1940s as the name of a car that had been 'hopped up' by modifying the engine in various ways to achieve higher performance. The body/frame for this T-Bucket is gloss black with a red pin striping running the length of the frame and accenting the body lines for a smidgen of color. The frame and body were produced by a company named Total Performance. A 283 CID engine has been fitted between the frame rails of this light weight bucket. For extra performance, the 283 V8 has a set of 350 heads to get more air/fuel in and out of the engine. To take advantage of the larger heads, a bigger cam (. 465 lift intake/. 488 lift exhaust) has also been added. To insure plenty of fuel is fed to the 283 V8, an Edelbrock intake with 3 two barrel carburetors sits on top. In 1966 Ford was looking for way to cut development cost to reach a suggested selling of 2,368 dollars. So the Mustang was based on components that were familiar and simple due to the fact that they were already in production for other Ford models. Almost all of the interior, chassis, suspension and drivetrain pieces were taken from those used on the Ford Falcon and Fairlane.
