1967 was the only year for the GTA, which was a Mustang GT with an automatic transmission. They were available in coupe, fastback, or convertible and with either the 289 or 390 engine.

This GTA is still packing its original 320-horsepower, 390 cid V8, which is the most powerful of the block options (not including Shelby Mustangs). With only 3,000 miles since its rebuild, this 390 cid V8 is backed by a C6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission. It breathes in though a Holley Carburetor with Edelbrock High Rise Intake, and out through stainless valve Headers and Magna Flow dual exhaust.

The upgrades in this GTA are amazing. Under the hood it is cleaned up and chromed out in all the right places. There is a brand-new battery and electronic ignition, and to keep it cool there is a new aluminum Radiator and 3 electric fans. This baby rides on new BFGoodrich performance tires with 15- upgraded Mustang Rally wheels, and it stops on a dime with power 4-wheel disk brakes. Powering this legend is a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 that has been worked over bolted up to a 5-speed manual transmission. With the hydraulic clutch conversion, this Mustang drives like a modern car! A 3. 70:1 rear gear ratio makes sure this 'Stang can rip! Since the completion of the build, the engine has had roughly 19,500 miles, with a newer trans having only around 13,900 miles.

They were both rebuilt and have covered a modest 3,000 miles since their rebuild as has the Ford 9 inch rear and rest of the restoration. The paint is truly gorgeous and is Nightmist Blue Metallic over a Black vinyl interior. Adding to the already breathtaking looks is a set of period correct American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with slightly larger rear tires for an aggressive stance. Coming off of a benchmark year for Ford the '69-'70 Mustangs were hot and sales were through the roof, especially for the Mach 1. The Mach 1 package was only available in the Sportsroof body style, (previously known as a fastback); never on the hardtop or convertible. The Mach 1 is known for having 2 variations of the 351 CI V8. The 2 valve Windsor and the notorious 4 valve Cleveland. This example was built at Dearborn and has the Cleveland engine mated to the optional FMX 3 speed transmission. Ordered from the factory with black hood stripe, conveniece group, the previosuly mentioned transmission, and sport deck rear seat. Other options incude power steering, a/c, AM/FM radio, factory tinted glass and a tachometer. Approaching the car it looks black as night, a stealth fighter in the shadows, but upon further inspection you notice the sheen of a Jade Black finish, a beautiful shade for this muscle car.
