Since the introduction of the model in 1964 the Mustang has set the precedent for a performance based 'pony' car but never was thought to be a luxury vehicle. until 1970 rolled around. The Grande was released to be a luxurious variant of the Mustang without compromising the performance oriented feel that the car was intended for. Featuring a vinyl roof, wood panel accenting, a decent amount of foot room, and an additional 55 pounds of sound deadening for a quieter ride it's easy to see that Ford was pulling no punches in adding some refinement to the car named after a wild horse. This grey metallic beauty shows nicely as the black top helps contrast the paint color and it really helps it 'pop'.
