This one is a particularly rare model as it is a true Q-code car. There were 5,049 convertibles built in 1966, out of those 74 only had 428 CID 345 HP V8 with factory air condition. Most know that 1966 was a year of lasts: the last convertible, the last unibody, and to some, the last of the classic Thunderbirds. This car is a true collector-s item that would fit nicely into anyone-s garage. The 428 CID V8 was the same motor that was put into the same year Shelby Mustang. The 428 V8 in this car is its original numbers matching car that had a rebuild 3 years ago. That powerful rare V8 is paired to the C6 3-speed automatic transmission that was also rebuilt 3 years ago. This Tbird has gone through a mild restoration including a fairly new professional paint job approx. 3 years ago that was done very well.
