This amazing truck reminds me of a swiss time piece, not that I have every rebuilt one, nor do I have the money to buy one. Maybe it is the swiss miss hot coco packet in the glove box, just joking swiss miss not included. All joking aside this beautiful truck looks great and runs better. The 250 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder under the hood is responsive and starts with just a quick twist of the key. Now this set up is not going to give you blistering time slips at the local drag strip, but chances are it will run well until you there comes a time when gasoline is no longer available, so at least 10 years. The 3-speed automatic transmission is the often used turbo 350. These 3 speed autos are as durable as a hammer. The Suburban nameplate has been a staple in the General Motors lineup since 1935. Considered to be the first mass produced station wagon. The 1979 GMC Suburban is a seventh- generation model that was produced from 1973-1991. Prior to 1973 the Suburban had only one door on the left side.
